THE PERSON BEHIND THE SITE
Hugo Ferano
Co-founder of Find Best Pillow. I am building a clearer starting point for people trying to choose a pillow that fits how they sleep.
Why I started paying attention to sleep
I lived with neck pain for years. It made me pay closer attention to the ordinary choices that affect how my body feels, including where my head rests at night. A pillow looked like a small thing, but it could change how comfortable I felt when I woke up. That experience led me to become interested in sleep, comfort, and the broader wellbeing of the body. It also made me wary of confident product promises that do not explain who a pillow is likely to suit.
I helped create Find Best Pillow because I wanted the first step to be understanding the sleeper, not choosing a brand. A person who changes position several times may need a different kind of support from someone who stays on one side. Shoulder width and mattress firmness can change the space a pillow needs to fill. Warmth, care, and price matter too. I want these choices explained in language a reader can use without needing to decipher marketing terms.
What I am building here
At this stage, I am working on a quiz and guides that describe pillow features, such as loft, firmness, fill, and shape. The quiz is a starting point, not a diagnosis or a product endorsement. It asks how you sleep and returns a profile of characteristics worth checking. If a recommendation depends on something we cannot know from eight answers, the page should say so. I would rather leave a question open than make a precise claim without evidence.
We have published our planned testing protocol before publishing hands-on reviews. The first round is planned to begin in Month 2, with initial results planned for Month 3. We intend to record measurements of compressed height, warmth over time, care, fit in different positions, and later shape retention. I have not claimed to have completed those tests already. When results appear, readers should be able to see what was measured, what was observed, and what remains uncertain.
How I think about trust
My own experience with discomfort is a reason for my interest, not a medical qualification. I will not tell readers that a pillow can cure neck pain, and I will point persistent or worsening symptoms toward appropriate clinical advice. On this site, we can help explain the fit questions and document future product observations. We cannot decide what another person's body needs with certainty from a webpage.
Commercial incentives need to be visible too. We have no affiliate links today. If we add them after reviews are published, each affected page will disclose them near the top. Commissions will not affect a product score, and paid placement will not be offered. Our full revenue policy states those boundaries so a reader can check them before relying on a recommendation.
I want this project to stay useful when a reader disagrees with a conclusion or spots a mistake. We will date meaningful corrections, update changing price and policy details, and keep the testing method available. I can be reached at contact@findbestpillow.com, and the contact form is another way to send a question. The best way to judge my work will be to examine the explanations and evidence we publish as the site develops.
